SUGAR FREE BANANA PUDDING

Today i am going to share with you one of the simplest dessert recipes which belongs to the category of firless cooking .All you need to do is put some sliced bananas in the freezer section in advance .For the creamy and smooth banana pudding always use frozen bananas.This no sugar dessert can be enjoyed either as a breakfast or as a snack ,which will leave you feeling satisfied and full till the very next meal.Here’s the recipe :

INGREDIENTS

Sliced frozen bananas -2

Cocoa powder -2 tbsp

Milk-1/4th cup

Honey -1 tbsp

METHOD

  • Take a blender jar and add all the ingredients (banana slices,milk,cocoa powder and honey)
  • Transfer into a pudding bowl.
  • Add some chopped fruits and nuts .(apple,dates ,cashews etc.)
  • Serve and enjoy your meal.

NO COOK APPLE CARROT SANDWICH RECIPE

If you are searching for some instant healthy sandwich ideas , you have landed on the right page .Here i have used very few ingredients and they are kids friendly too.This no cook sandwich can be served as breakfast or as a quick snack which will leave you feeling full and satisfied until your next meal.Let’s see how to make it:

INGREDIENTS

Bread slices

Grated apple-1

Grated carrot -1

Mayonnaise-1&1/2 tbsp

cinnamon powder -1/2 tsp

METHOD

  • Finely grate apple and carrot separately
  • Squeeze out the moisture from apple and keep it aside. Excess moisture from apple will make the sanwiches soggy.
  • Take a bowl and all grated apple and carrot.
  • Add cinnamon powder and mayonnaise which will give a unique flavor for the filling.
  • Filling is ready.
  • Take two bread slices ,trim the edeges and add prepared filling in one of the bread slices .cover it with another slice of the bread .
  • Prepare all sandwiches this way.
  • As a healthier version we can use whole meal bread or brown bread slices for making sandwiches.

PEANUT CHUTNEY

Healthy and nutritious peanut chutney is a great substitute for the regular coconut chutney to serve along with dosa and idli ,if you want to try a unique and flavorful chutney variety .The key is use fresh peanuts and also make sure not to overboard with spices. Unlike coconut chutney which we usually serve along with South Indian breakfast dishes ,peanut chutney will remain fresh up to 3-4 days inside the refrigerator.Here is how to make it:

INGREDIENTS

Peanuts-1 cup

Kashmiri chillies-5

Garlic-2

Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp

Tamarind pulp- 1 small piece of tamarind soaked in warm water.

Salt- as per taste

Water

Method

Heat a pan and roast peanuts  for few minutes.

Once it starts to crackle ,switch off the flame.

Once it cools down remove the skin and keep aside.

Take a blender jar add all the ingredients and grind it to make a smooth paste.

For seasoning fry some mustrds seeds ,urad dal,dry red chillies and curry leaves .

For seasoning

Mustard seeds- 1 tsp

Urad dal -1 tsp

Dry red chilly-2

Curry leaves- 1sprig

Oil- 1 tbsp

Roast peanuts for few minutes .Once it becomes crisp ,switch off the flame .
Peel off the skin

Grind by adding kashmiri chilli,tamarind pulp ,cumin seeds garlic and water .

Add salt and adjust the consistency by adding some water.
The tempering is poured over the chutney

MIIXED VEGETABLE PARATHA

If you are wondering how to include more vegetables in your diet ,you can kick start the day by having this paratha. It’s loaded with veggies , a great way to feed your loved ones who aren’t even a big fan of veg dishes.

Let’s get into the recipe .

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour- 3cups

Mixed vegetables

Green peas -1/4th cup

cauliflower -1/2 cup

cabbage -1/4th cup

grated carrots- 1/2 cup

mashed potato -1 small sized

paneer-1/2 cup

Oil-1tbsp

GINGER -SMALL PIECE

GREEN CHIILIES -2

 Masala

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Chilli powder-1 tsp

Chaat masala -1 tsp

Salt 

METHOD 

SQUEEZE OUT MOISTURE FROM ALL THE VEGETABLE ( CABBAGE,CARROTS,GREEN PEAS,CAULIFLOWER ).

HEAT OIL IN A PAN ,ADD FINELY CHOPPED GINGER AND GREEN CHILLIES ,SAUTE IT WELL .

ADD VEGETABLES LET IT COOK FOR FEW MINUTES .

ADD MASHED POTATOES AND PANEER ,MIX WELL.

NOW IT’S TIME TO SPICE IT UP WITH SOME MASALA(TURMERIC POWDER, CHILLI  POWDER,CHAAT MASALA AND SALT)

SWITCH OFF THE FLAME AND ALLOW THIS TO COOL.

LETS MAKE PARATHA

TAKE A MIXING BOWL AND ADD  3 CUPS OF WHEAT FLOUR ,1 TBSP OF OIL AND SALT.

POUR SOME WATER AND MIX WELL, UNTIL WE GET THE DESIRED CONSISTENCY FOR THE DOUGH

KNEAD THE DOUGH FOR FEW MINUTES.

COVER IT WITH A CLOTHE AND LET IT REST FOR 15 MINUTES.

ONCE THE DOUGH IS READY ,DIVIDE IT INTO EQUAL SIZED BALLS.

ROLL OUT PARATHAS BY DUSTING IT WITH SOME FLOUR

ADD FILLING AND SEAL THE EDGES ,REMOVE THE EXCESS DOUGH.

GENTLY ROLL IT OUT IN A MEDIUM THICKNESS.

HEAT A PAN ,KEEP THE FLAME LOW.

COOK PARATHAS FLIPPING THE SIDES IN BETWEEN.

APPLY BUTTER GENEROUSLY .

AT THIS PONIT OF TIME KEEP THE FLAME MEDIUM ,THIS WAY PARATHAS WILL TURN OUT TO CRISPY IN TEXTURE.

SERVE HOT WITH SOME PICKLE OR ONION RAITA .

HEALTHY BANANA SMOOTHIE

super healthy banana smoothie recipe .

INGREDIENTS

Banana -2

milk -4 tbsp

honey -1 tbsp (optional)

coco powder -1 tsp

apple -1/2 piece finely chopped

METHOD

Peel off bananas ,cut them in to small pieces.

freeze it for 3-4 hrs in a zip lock bag.

Take a blender jar ,add frozen bananas along with milk and coco powder .

blend it till  it forms in to a creamy texture .

transfer this  in to serving glass, add honey and chopped apple.

Enjoy .

 

Note:

You can even fill this in to the popsicle mould, without adding chopped fruits, and freeze it for  4-5 hrs and serve it like popsicle.

We can even add more chopped fruits like, green apples, pear, dry fruits, nuts ,dates etc. in to the banana smoothie and serve it like  a fruit salad.

 

 

 

POTATO SPINACH SANDWICH RECIPE|| ALOO PALAK SANDWICH

 

Usually i get requests for simple and quick tiffin box recipes.So here i am with a delicious and easy to make sandwich recipe with all the goodness of palak and potatoes.We need minimum ingredients to prepare the filling for this sandwich.This is a filling breakfast recipe, which keeps you full till the next meal.

INGREDIENTS

Boiled potatoes-2 medium sized

onion -1 small sized

Grated ginger -1 small sized

chopped palak -1 cup

Oil-2 tbsp

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

chilli powder-1&1/2 tsp

cumin powder/jeera -1/2 tsp

lemon juice -1tbsp

salt as per taste

Bread slices for preparing sandwiches

 

OPTIONAL

Green chutney

cheese

 

METHOD

  • Heat oil in a pan ,add finely chopped ginger and onion saute it until it’s raw flavour goes off.
  • Add finely chopped palak or spinach, saute it for a while, palak will not take much time to cook.Let it cook for 2 minutes in medium flame.
  • Once palak turns soft we can add boiled and cubed potatoes.
  • Now it’s time to add some spices to make this filling flavourful.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder  and salt.
  • Finally add some lemon juice which will give a gentle tangy flavour and at the same time helps the veggies to absorb all the masalas quickly.
  • Mix well.Filling is ready.
  • Take two bread slices, add one spoon of filling in one slice of the bread ,sprinkle some cheese (optional),cover it with the other slice of the bread.
  • Heat a tawa, rub some ghee or butter ,toast these sandwiches until they become crispy and golden in colour.
  • We can use some green chutney or tomato ketchup as a sandwich spread which will make these sandwiches even more delicious.

NUTELLA FRUIT SANDWICH RECIPE/NUTELLA SANDWICH

 

Children’s favorite nutella fruit sandwich is a very simple and quick recipe  which can be prepared within 5 minutes.We can use any fruits which are firm in texture , to include in the nutella filling .

 

INGREDIENTS

Banana-1/2 cup
strawberry-1/2 cup
grated apple -1/2 cup
nutella-2 tbsp
bread slices- 6

ghee/butter

 

 

METHOD

  • Trim the edges of the bread slices .
  • finely chop all the fruits ,in a mixing bowl add all these fruits along with 2 tbsp of nutella and mix well.
  • Spread some nutells on the bread slices (optional).
  • Add one spoon of prepared nutella fruit mixture in to the bread slice and cover this with another bread slice.
  • Heat a non stick pan ,rub some butter or ghee ,toast both sides of the fruit sandwich.
  • enjoy!!!!!!!
